Placeholder decision — shipping destinations
{{SHIPPING_SCOPE_DECISION}}); the final destination list, per-product restrictions, and any international terms are [COUNSEL] and business decisions to confirm before launch.1. Order processing
Orders are typically processed within {{PROCESSING_TIME}} business days after payment is authorized and any required verification is complete. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed on the next business day. We may hold or decline an order for verification, stock, or compliance reasons, as described in our Terms of Service. Processing times are estimates, not guarantees.
2. Destinations and restrictions
At launch we ship within the United States only ({{SHIPPING_SCOPE_DECISION}}). We do not currently ship to international destinations. Some products may carry additional destination restrictions — including within the United States — and certain items may be unavailable to particular states or regions where restricted by law or carrier policy. Destination eligibility is enforced against the shipping address at checkout; a shippable-looking option does not guarantee delivery if a restriction applies. {{RESTRICTED_DESTINATIONS}} — the restricted-destination and per-product restriction lists are to be finalized with counsel.
3. Carriers, methods, and costs
We ship via {{CARRIERS}} using the service levels shown at checkout. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, service level, and any cold-chain requirement. {{FREE_SHIPPING_TERMS}} — any free-shipping threshold and its conditions to be set here. Carrier prohibited-item policies apply to every shipment and may independently restrict what can be shipped.
4. Packaging and cold-chain handling
Products are packaged as laboratory reference materials. Temperature-sensitive items may ship with insulated packaging and coolant sufficient for expected transit. Because product integrity depends on controlled conditions, you are responsible for being available to receive your shipment promptly and for placing temperature-sensitive materials into appropriate storage immediately on delivery. We are not responsible for degradation resulting from a delay in receipt or storage within your control. Handling guidance concerns the material only and is not a direction for any use in or on a human or animal.
5. Tracking
When your order ships, we send a confirmation with tracking information to the email on your account. Tracking is updated by the carrier and may lag actual movement. If tracking has not updated within {{TRACKING_GRACE_PERIOD}}, contact us at {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.
6. Shipment timing (FTC Mail Order Rule)
Consistent with the U.S. FTC Mail Order Rule (16 CFR Part 435), we will ship within the time stated at the time of your order or, if no time is stated, within 30 days of receiving your properly completed order. If we cannot ship within that time, we will notify you of the delay, offer you the option to cancel for a prompt refund, and proceed only with your agreement. This is a legal commitment, and our operational processes are configured to meet it.
7. Lost, delayed, damaged, or refused shipments
If your shipment is lost, arrives damaged, or is delayed, contact us at {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} within {{CLAIM_WINDOW}} of the delivery or expected-delivery date, with your order number and, for damage, photographs of the packaging and contents. We will work with the carrier to investigate and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Returns Policy. Packages that are undeliverable or refused, or returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, may be subject to return shipping and restocking costs; see the Returns Policy.
8. Address accuracy, signature, and delivery locations
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an address you entered incorrectly. Some shipments may require a signature on delivery. {{PO_BOX_APO_POLICY}} — any PO Box, APO/FPO, or similar limitations to be stated here.
9. Customs, duties, and import compliance
Where any shipment crosses a border, you are the importer of record and are solely responsible for any duties, taxes, customs charges, and for compliance with all import laws of the destination. We make no representation that any product may lawfully be imported into or used in any country, and we are not responsible for items seized, delayed, or returned by customs. See the Research Use Disclaimer and Terms of Service.
10. Title and risk of loss
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, title and risk of loss pass to you when the products are handed to the carrier. Delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the effective date and version above show when it last changed. Questions may be directed to {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.
