It is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service. Where this Disclaimer and any other document conflict on the permitted use of a product, the more restrictive statement controls.
2. Laboratory research use only
Products are sold solely as materials for in vitro laboratory research and analytical use by persons and organizations qualified to handle research chemicals. They are not manufactured, tested, labeled, or sold as, and must never be used as, a drug, biologic, food, beverage, cosmetic, medical device, dietary supplement, or any article intended for consumption by, or administration to, a human or animal.
Nothing on this site is an instruction, recommendation, or invitation to use any product in or on the body of a human or animal. Handling guidance provided for a product (for example, storage temperature or reconstitution of the material in a solvent for laboratory analysis) describes the handling of a research material and is not a dose, protocol, or direction for use in a person or animal.

6. Buyer eligibility and representations
By placing an order or otherwise obtaining any product, the buyer represents and warrants that they:
- are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, if higher);
- are a qualified researcher, or are purchasing on behalf of a research institution, laboratory, or comparable entity, and are authorized to acquire and handle research chemicals;
- are acquiring the product solely for legitimate in vitro laboratory research or analytical purposes;
- understand the hazards associated with handling research materials and will observe appropriate laboratory safety practices; and
- will not administer, consume, resell, repackage, relabel, or distribute any product for use in or on a human or animal, or for any consumer, therapeutic, or diagnostic purpose.
A purchaser attestation to this effect is presented, unchecked by default, at account registration and again at checkout, and the buyer’s acceptance is recorded with the order.
7. Buyer responsibilities and assumption of risk
The buyer assumes full responsibility for the safe, lawful, and appropriate handling, use, storage, transport, and disposal of every product, and for compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and institutional policies in their jurisdiction, including those governing importation. The buyer is solely responsible for determining a product’s suitability for the buyer’s intended research and for any consequence arising from its handling or use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the buyer assumes all risk associated with the products and agrees to the disclaimers of warranty, limitation of liability, and indemnification set out in our Terms of Service.
